A good thing about Bangalore (Yes!! Yes!!)

The mosquitoes. Not that here are no mosquitoes, but the ones here put their northern cousins to shame. They are slower, dumber, weaker and less malevolent. They are yet to develop their infiltration of blankets skills. The slap-to-kill ratio (including miss-hits) is close to 99%. Another major deficiency is their total lack of the powers of reincarnation. This power is amply displayed by the Agra mosquitoes - which on being smashed against the bitten body part - crumple up into a sad ball, meditate for a while and then dis-crumple and fly off with a buzz and a twitch - leaving in their wake reddening finger marks on slapped body part, slowly growing and itching bite mark, open mouthed amazement and a belief in some God of Small Things. I know someone is going to come up and say "Things are going to get worse Sonny Girl, Just you wait". But I'd like to hold on to this 'good' feature of Agra for a while, Thank you.

1. Ushus(I m Heading the HR event so major responibility)happening on the 26th n 27th November.

Yesterday it was Onam. Its a festival celebrated by the Kerelaites....for ma its a day when all the girls wear white sarees with golden borders, guys are in mundu, its a slightly different version of what we call lungi in the north.
Had fun yesterday. wore a saree. such a pain it was! i dint have a kerela saree so i just wore a tissue saree... then ma whole gang went to have onam sadya, its mallu food, which consists of 18 different dishes, served on banana leaf. it was the very first time i had some typical mallu food. there was so much food that i had to waste a lot! :-(
but in all it was a good experience.

Going to have some movie time this weekend...tonight I m going for ths movie..The Interpreter and then tomo I m going to watch Madagascer.
Then I have got this DVD having all the 3 Harry Potter and the 2 Spiderman flicks.(ok ok ok... I know that I have missed some things but then I am catching on, people.)
Planning of having some time tonight and tomo ; tomo being a holiday and I will have no excuses to get online and spend n number of hours doing some brainless work.

Finally I have finished reading The Alchemist. A great read. Simple to read and understand. But has a great depth to it. Contains many philosophies, advices, provebs and the likes but the one which i simply loved it,"when you really want something to happen, the whole universe conspires so that your wish comes true."
Ah!!
