MIDNIGHT STARS

I've wondered these days
why you brought me here, Lord...
far from my beloved ones
to this strange enchanted place...

Wondering still I stepped out
into the cold winter night,
Looked to the midnight skies
and there...the glory of the Lord
shone round about me!

I know the answer...For I saw
heaven's
stars...millions...so many I could
only stand in awe...
overcome by stars...planets...
galaxies...and then...a falling star!

For this I come...beauty to behold
undimmed by raw city lights;
and in the darkling silence
heard Brother Coyote sing
his lonesome song
to the star-kissed night.

Tears came that I should be so
blessed...
that you would light my path, Lord...
Your angels light my sky steps.
Alone? No. You are with me, I know.

My heart sings a solo..."Silent night,
holy night, all is so calm, all is so
bright,
round your children bathed
in star's light...
O holy night. O holy. holy night."
